Vita Student in Strawberry Place, Newcastle is a 10-storey student accommodation development consisting of 331 beds, incorporating a number of 5-bedroom cluster apartments and 271 studios, plus a large social hub with movie rooms, seating areas, study spaces and a gym.
This 115,400 sq. ft. development is located beside Newcastle United’s football ground, St. James Park. It is one of many Vita student accommodations by Select Property Group, a specialist in delivering all-inclusive student accommodation with a focus on building student communities.
Vita Student was the first of three phases in a new development scheme for Strawberry Place with a huge mixed-use development with offices and a hotel also being built.

Systems Used
Speedclad Ltd installed our TB50 curtain wall system and ST60 window systems at every elevation of this $32.6 million development. Our ST60 rebated door systems were also installed.Â
Design Criteria
The scheme was carefully designed by Ryder Architecture in relation to Leazes Park Conservation Area to the north and alongside existing and proposed buildings to the south, west and east.
The development is focused around a central landscaped courtyard that spills out from a double-height, light filled student hub space.
