APA Facade Systems recently completed works on The Roy in Halifax. The Roy is located in the historical warehouse district at 1650 Granville Street. A $50 million development by Starfish Properties, this modern 22-story ultra-luxurious condominium has a total of 86 condos. Below this, it features 3 floors of commercial space and 4 floors of above-grade parking, serviced by 2 vehicular elevators.
The Roy has a beautiful contemporary style, exquisite amenities and unrivaled views across Halifax. Designed by IBI Group, the facade treatment of the tower is handled in two distinct ways. The east and south elevations are treated with undulating articulated aluminum curtain wall and the north and west elevations will be brick-clad with a fenestration pattern, like the neighboring Johnston Building.
APA Facade Systems worked in conjunction with Flynn Group of Companies on this prestigious project. We provided Flynn with our design-assist service and manufactured our TB50 Facade System, ST Windows/Doors and our Louvers. Our systems cover the majority of the 325,000 sq. ft. building, which was completed in July 2019.
Here at APA Facade Systems, our team is committed to excellent environmental practice towards a greener, more sustainable environment. Our aluminum glazing profiles are designed and manufactured to conform with industry environmental standards, helping you achieve a silver, gold or platinum LEED certification.
