APA Facade Systems have teamed up with Flynn Group of Companies in Canada to manufacture and install over 200 of our Triple Glazed Concealed Frame Vents to the new Amazon offices in Dunsmuir, Vancouver.
Located at the heart of downtown Vancouver just steps from historic Gastown District, this will be Amazon’s second office in the city adding 14,148 m² (152,290 ft²) of floor space and about 1,000 new workers to its current workforce of more than 1,800 people in B.C.
This beautiful building is designed by B+H Architects and will include retail space on the ground floor and have three further floors with spacious offices on each level. The second floor consists of 6,600 square feet of space and will include conference and fitness facilities.
Here at APA Facade Systems, our team is committed to excellent environmental practice towards a greener, more sustainable environment. Our aluminum glazing profiles are designed and manufactured to conform with industry environmental standards, helping you achieve a silver, gold or platinum LEED certification.
Architecturally, the building’s thick mullions are meant to emulate classic warehouse design. “The challenge is to maintain engagement with the city’s past while propelling it into the future through the design of a social space for innovation customized for a Global Tech Firm” – B + H Architects.
Oxford Properties Group – the developers – are targeting a LEED Gold Certification for this building, with the completion date expected to be early 2020.
