Gaelcholáiste Chiarraí
New 75,000 sq. ft State-of-the-art School in Tralee
Gaelcholaiste Chiarrai is a brand new 75,000 sq.ft school built on a 6.5-acre site at Clonmore in Tralee, Co. Kerry.
Developed by Vision Contracting, Gaelcholáiste Chiarraí has a capacity to cater for 600 students and will enable the school to accommodate its expanding student population which has necessitated a second campus since 2016.
Project Ireland 2040 Programme
It was built under the Project Ireland 2040 Programme as part of a long-term overarching strategy to make Ireland a better country for all and to build a more resilient and sustainable future.
West Architectural Facades are installed our thermally enhanced ST70 hi windows and rebate doors alongside our TB50 curtain wall system and bi-fold doors.
The new building was designed by Oppermann Associates and represents a significant investment of approximately €16 million. It will include 22 general classrooms, 4 science labs, a Library and specialist rooms for Art, Technical Graphics, Materials Technology Wood, Music, Home Economics and ICT.”
The project was completed on site in March 2023 and it was handed over to the Kerry Education Training Board (Kerry ETB) for the official opening on the 24th of April 2023.
