Scoil Mhuire National School in Monivea, Co Galway has just won third place in the RIAI Irish Architecture Awards Public Choice category.
The Public Choice Awards celebrates the quality of work by RIAI members at home and abroad and create awareness of the important role that architecture plays in delivering Ireland’s societal and economic infrastructure.
Scoil Mhuire had stiff competition this year. With 129 entries, 33 buildings made the 2020 shortlist. Other educational buildings shortlisted included, two universities in France; a privately funded development in a wealthy Dublin suburb and business faculty in Trinity College Dublin.
Window & Roof Lights Ltd installed APA Facade Systems ST70 Hi windows and door systems to this project. Our ST70 Hi windows featured dual coloured sashes and frames on parts of this project. A fantastic idea to bring colour to the school building by SJK Architects.
Massive congratulations to Pat Loftus Construction, SJK Architect, Window & Roof Lights and all involved in this project.
